The Bohème Hot Club have been having a fine time playing music from the Golden Age of Jazz for years now. Wonderful tunes, lovingly borrowed from the American and European songbooks, with a particular passion for the musical legacy of the great Belgian gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and his violin maestro collaborator Stephane Grapelli.
Alisa Lands (vocals), whose warm yet agile voice has a timeless quality. Singing in several languages, Alisa transports the listener to far-flung exotic places.
David Ahmed (guitar), whose mastery of the guitar shines through in his melodic solos and flawlessly executed accompaniment.
Richard Bawcombe (guitar), delivers lyrical and nuanced melody lines whilst holding down the Gypsy jazz rhythm with perfect timing.
Paul Malloy (double bass), drives the rhythm and keeps the show firmly on the road with his rock solid ability on the bass.
Nathan Mansfield (violin & trumpet), the Maestro grips the audience with his violin. Drawing on diverse influences, his often ethereal and always tasteful playing leaves you wanting more. He seamlessly can switch from Violin to trumpet which adds new depths and nuance to the music.
